The Owl Rehabilitation Society Rehab Helps Save Raptors

The Owl Rehabilitation Society (Owl Rehab) is committed to helping to rescue, rehabilitate raptors, eagles, falcons, hawks, vultures, osprey and other (orphaned wildlife) and successfully release them back into the wild.

There motto is Rescue. Rehabilitate and Release.

The Owl Rehabilitation Society is a non-profit society that’s dedicated to the survival of raptors and birds of prey. Their success is made possible by the generous support of people like you.

They’re a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation center whose volunteers and staff help educate the public about the importance of conservation, including the monumental role they play in nature.

Each year they treat and care for over seven hundred different birds of prey that make their way to their clinic in desperate need of rehabilitation resulting from various injuries.

The birds are sent to OWL from all around British Columbia, including the Northwest United States, but the majority arrive at the clinic locally with the dedicated help of passionate volunteers.

OWL Rehab Permanent Residents

They also have a one of a kind owl sanctuary where 46 non-releasable raptors live and reside, that help with the programs, and educational curriculum that helps educate the public about the importance of the species.

They developed a Wildlife Museum to help facilitate the educational programs which help to increase public understanding of these birds of prey, their dwindling habitat, and the negative environmental impact that human populations and encroaching development have on the natural world.

OWL offers both onsite and offsite educational programs that tailor to a variety of learning interests.

Families and large groups can visit the Owl sanctuary and view the resident education birds, they can also come to your location and bring the feathered friend along, to make the educational experience really come alive.

Educator Zac with Luna the Western Screech Owl

The online programs that the Owl Rehabilitation Society offers are totally unique and realistic, it’s like you’re actually in the room with the raptor’s.

The programs offer your students (or homeschoolers) a way to observe and interact with the various raptors that call British Columbia home.

They will learn the diverse features of each bird, along with the very real dangers and threats that these birds face, along with a variety of ways that you can also help support these magnificent birds.

The educational programs they offer are flexible and can be tailored to your groups time and flexibility, and with the power of zoom, members of your group can be in different locations for a collective experience.

Additionally, all the proceeds from their programs directly support the ongoing cost of The Owl Rehabilitation Societies work.

They are devoted to caring for God’s creatures now, and for future generations.
