Photographs are illustrative stock images, not evidence of NFE projects, partnerships, or outcomes. Campaign order is not a launch schedule. Planned chapters are proposed development directions, not active programs, confirmed partnerships, or promised launches. Species and places will be introduced through focused stories and checked opportunities as capacity allows.
Rooted in place. Open to the world.
Begin close to home.
Follow the connections.
A neighborhood garden. A river linking communities. A forest whose story introduces meaningful work on the other side of the world.
Our campaigns will develop through place-based chapters, each with its own people, knowledge, circumstances, and opportunities. Our horizon is worldwide. Our approach is grounded in place.
- U.S. communities and regions
- Central America
- Hawaiʻi and the Pacific
- The Amazon
- Europe
- A worldwide horizon
Explore our geographic vision
We want to develop local and regional work across the United States; explore forests, waters, communities, and species in Central America, including a proposed Maya Biosphere Reserve inquiry in Guatemala; and develop locally grounded stories in Hawaiʻi, the Pacific, Europe, and the Amazon.
The long-term map also welcomes Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, other parts of the Americas and Oceania, polar places, and cross-border landscapes and waters. These are development directions—not established regional programs or partnerships.
Your knowledge can open a door
Help a campaign take shape.
Know a community project, an overlooked place, a knowledgeable voice, or an initiative we should understand?
Tell us what matters, who is involved, and why it deserves a closer look. You might offer a skill, make an introduction, or help us ask a better question.
You do not need a finished proposal—or a financial contribution—to begin.
Share an introductionAn introduction begins a conversation. It does not automatically create a partnership or guarantee a feature.
Make the work possible
Help care reach further.
A story begins long before it is published.
Your support gives NFE time to research, listen, check information, create useful resources, reach new audiences, and follow through.
You help sustain our campaign development, storytelling, education, creative production, outreach, relationships, and everyday operating costs—including work that happens before there is anything to share.
Help build NFEDiscuss campaign sponsorship →Support for NFE funds NFE’s own work. It is not automatically transferred to featured organizations. Giving directly to their programs is a separate choice through their official channels. Participation remains welcome without payment.

Our approach, transparency, and photograph credits
NFE leads its own storytelling, education, and outreach work. We distinguish plans from completed activities and describe relationships accurately. Featured organizations are not automatically partners or endorsers. Financial support does not purchase editorial influence.
Chapters may introduce a life or place, explain an issue, meet people involved, examine responses, offer a checked opportunity, and return with meaningful follow-up. We do not equate publishing activity with ecological outcomes.
Images illustrate campaign themes. The Creation Care photograph does not identify a faith community; plant imagery does not establish regional nativity; the park photograph does not establish pesticide practices. The Amazon image depicts Manaus, Brazil, not the proposed Ecuadorian starting point. The horse photograph is not verified as a U.S. mustang herd.

Close to home. Across the world.
The places we love.
The places we have yet to discover.
A river you grew up beside. A garden bringing neighbors together. A coral reef you may never visit, but still want to see flourish.
NFE’s campaigns connect care for familiar places with discoveries further afield—introducing the people, wildlife, and work that make each story worth knowing.
From communities across the United States to Central American forests, the Amazon, Europe, and beyond, we’re building a growing collection of stories and ways to take part.
Begin with a place that matters to you. Discover another that might.
Our North Star · 2027 and beyond
One living world.
A future we can care for together.
From an individual animal to an entire ecosystem, NFE’s campaigns are connected by one hope: a world where all life can flourish.
We bring remarkable places, meaningful work, and opportunities to care into view—helping people discover where they can take part, close to home and across the world.
Our 2027 campaigns are a beginning, not a boundary. The vision reaches beyond them: more lives understood, more places valued, and more people connected through care.
