Bee City USA (an initiative of The Xerces Society 🌍🦋) is a nonprofit certification program 🌟🐝 that unites cities, towns, campuses & communities to protect pollinators (especially native bees!) by boosting native plant habitats, creating nest sites, reducing pesticides, and spreading awareness 📣🌿!They certify affiliates (Bee City or Bee Campus) that commit to pollinator-friendly actions, helping sustain 3,600+ native bee species & other pollinators for food & ecosystems 🍯🛡️.In the business world: They encourage corporate/local business involvement 🤝🏢 through partnerships, sponsorships, employee/volunteer events (e.g., habitat projects), and pollinator-conscious practices — helping companies support biodiversity, meet sustainability/ESG goals, and go bee-friendly over pesticide-heavy or habitat-damaging ones 🚫🌱.
